Ok, well, where to begin. As I see
it most of our kind are pretty paranoid and private and I find myself no
acception, but I will attempt to convey myself in some manner befitting an
educated person.
I am a Psi-vamp first and foremost,
having been aware to some degree of my nature since I was a child, though I
didn’t have a name for it. I just knew that I was different and that on some
level other people did too. They tended, without prompting, to shy away from me
or attempt to “protect” themselves by striking out verbally (and sometimes not
so verbally).
About five years ago when I truly
awakened I felt finally at home in my own body. Things made so much more sense
and I found a community that accepted me for myself. I wasn’t a freak or a
mental case. I luckily found through the forums other vamps in my own area and
was able to meet up with them to gain knowledge and perspective. At the time I
was also fresh out of high school, which obviously makes me still quite a
“young’n” as they say if you live in the deep south like me. Being around
older, more experienced people allowed me the great opportunity to learn a good
deal about more than just vampirism and I will always be grateful to those
people who guided me and kept me sane in the early months of awakening.
During this time I also awoke to my
sang side, which was very traumatic for me, and those same people were again
very important to aiding me in learning how to control my cravings, learning
how to supplement myself in between feeds, and helping out with a few feedings
when I really needed them (all safety precautions undertaken of course).
Now I spend pretty much all of my
time working on academics (i.e. yes, I’m still in college) and I try to keep up
with the different vamp boards, though I sometimes do fall a bit behind. If
anyone should find that they would like to contact me for any kind of
information having to do with awakening, psi and sang matters (I’m also an
elemental, empathic, and sexual vamp,) or need help with 19th
century Literature or Gender Studies, then by all means feel free to drop me a
line. I will do my best to give aid in anyway I can just as was done for me. I
feel it is our duty as a community to always extend a hand to those in need and
create a safe environment for education and conceptual exchange.
So, that’s it. I don’t really have
much else to say at the moment, except that I wish everyone peace, love and
understanding. Good luck on this crazy escapade called life.
