• Membership to the [AVA] is encouraged if you feel you will not only benefit from the [AVA], but also contribute as well. Contribution to the [AVA] includes, but is not limited to, participating in forum discussions, attending regional gatherings and energy workshops, working on various research projects, and attending meetings. At these meetings you will be able to freely express your own ideas and opinions.
  
  

• Membership to the [AVA] is not required to join and participate on the forum. Membership to the forum does NOT constitute membership to the predominately offline House [AVA]. Members must initially reside within an approximate 75 mile radius of Atlanta, GA to be eligible for membership.
  
  

• Membership to the [AVA] is not for those who feel the need to join for recognition or to sit idle, but rather those who wish to join for the greater good of the Community through active involvement. We are an active offline participatory House that is engaging with members outside of formal meetings.
  
  

• If you wish to join the [AVA] please take your time when filling out the application (please e-mail us at questions@atlantavampirealliance.com for an application). We do not take the time to consider applications where the applicant is not mindful of proper grammar and diction. Additionally, we have a minimum of a 100 word requirement for certain essay questions, which if ignored will result in an automatic denial. Keep in mind the average familiarity of our members with vampirism and energy work within the [AVA] is eight to ten years and for some much longer as the majority of our members are in their early to late 30's. House [AVA] only accepts members 21 years of age or older.
  
  

• The [AVA] is looking for quality vs. quantity when choosing members. You do not have to be Goth or dress as a "Hollywood" vampire to join the [AVA] - we have NO place in our House for lifestylers. While there are times when some of us do dress the part, it is on rare occasions, as we have jobs, families, and lives outside of the social or nightside vampire community. All members of the [AVA] must be of sound mental health, absent of a criminal record and uncontrollable violent tendencies, and adhere to proper decorum at all times as their behavior reflects upon the House, its members, and the greater Community.
  
  

• The [AVA] strongly recommends that before applying for membership that you, the potential applicant, take the time to read the bios of the founding members and choose one whom you think you are most apt to relate to and subsequently contact that person by e-mail or messenger (please forward a copy this e-mail to questions@atlantavampirealliance.com in case the member you contact does not receive your message). Keep in mind that some of us are limited with our time online, and if you choose to contact us by messenger we may not be immediately available. If this is the case, we suggest you join the forum and post an introduction asking for one of the founding members to contact you. One of us will do so as soon as possible if you include your contact information in your forum profile.
