What's the difference between mixed and hybrid?

i think hybrid is multiple possiblities like me therian sang and psi but i think mixed is just more than one kind of vamp or vice versa im not entirely sure

i just looked it up and i was wrong it is vice versa from what i said hybrid is like sang and psi and mix would be like me sang, psi, and therian.

I am mixed.  You are all right now, Mixed is Sang and Psi, Hybrid is more than two.  I was confused on that for a while myself.

There;s nothing wrong with being only a Sang.  theres no problem with being any kind.  We are all common in that we are Vampires.

I was talking specifically who is who, pain.  I didnt want a generalization.

I don't really know how to describe myself. I originally awoke as a sanguine, but have since learned to take and manipulate psi energy (and do occasionally when blood isn't convenient). Psi energy doesn't work as well as blood does though.

The presence of the survey told me you were looking for statistics, which with the small population of posters would have been statistically meaningless, is all.

Myself, I am Hybrid, but prefer pranic feeds.  Blood just is messy.

I am "psionic" but technically I fall into the mixed category as I am also otherkin.
Don't ask what I am, if I wanted you to know, you would know by now.  ;)

As for myself Psi is a main. But I only say that because I consider Tantric as just a physical way of absorbing energy. And if my supposing is correct Elemental is the absorbtion of energy from the Earth elements [Air, Fire, Water, Earth etc...] and I consider again another derivative of Psi.
I have a feeling that my occasional drops of blood from small knicks in the skin are much too small to consider myself a Sang, so to put it into technical terms, I myself find that I could be classified as PSI, Tantric and Elemental...so in short terms I'm a Hybrid...or Mixed depending on which term is for ore then two...
But if anyone has a bit more information Id be very happy if i could be lended some advice. =]

A point that was brought up to me recently was that no one can tell you what you are.  You may get suggestions that wake you up to what you are, but only you can make the decision in the end.

i'm not sure if i'm a vampire at all.
i am able to take/feed and percieve a need for energy (psi/psy/pranic) but i am also able to get energy from blood (psi=feed on energy[in blood]/sang=feed on blood).
but i'm not sure..
I believe 'elemental' and 'tantric' are just other ways of attaining the same energy. i percieve and though i can't always get energy from it, i am able to through those methods. also, being empathic, i percieve emotions and emotionally charged energy (which sometimes helps with 'feeding').

I noted the term "real vampire" wasnt included.  But then that does fall back on the psi vs sang wars again i suppose.

In any event, its sang that does it for me. Energy wise, well, when one plays with Chaos, energy takes an entirely different meaning.  I used to think i was psi, true, but these days, yeano.

Definitely sanguine for me.

I can only speak from my own experience, but energy is more or less mutable.  The components can be mixed and matched, from elemental to more complex combination, even transferred between. 

Technically, I am a elemental feeder.  Just about anything can be broken down into elemental components.  As stated earlier.. its the vibration that I need.. that I cant get myself.  When I feed in a vampiric fashion, I am looking for specific vibrations of the human pattern.  This generally relieves pain for me as well as creates other benefits.

Can I feed sang?  Yes.  Its very powerful.  The process however, is like listening to a full symphony orchestra at full volume when really, I just wanted to hear the violin section.  For that reason, I choose not to... its un-necessary and sloppy for my needs.  I dont need a 7 course banquet when I simply wanted a glass of water.

Can I live with the pain?  Yes.  Do I function optimally if I dont feed?  No, I dont think so.

I would be curious as to how other people would classify me with that information.

This is a very good advice.. The survey answers any questions one may have. As for me, I am mixed, psi, tantric, etc.

When I answered that question on the survey, I answered as psi. At the time I wasn't sexually active, and didn't know that sexual energy was easier for me to obtain.
Technically I should have answered as mixed. I am primarily tantric (which is what I answered in this poll) but I have experience taking psi energy, and have on occasion gotten energy through blood, whenever my husband has a cut. I won't harm him for the blood, though if I had the opportunity to take lessons in phlebotomy and if he wasn't deathly terrified of needles, I would probably shift more towards sang.

Personally I'm a Porphyria patient that has been using IV blood products since age 2; prescribed by my Doctor. I had to learn my psychic abilities through witchcraft in the 70s. I've always hated the term hybrid as it makes me think of a pure-bred dog humping some-ones leg or a race horse. Mixed sounds to me also like someone is crazed or mixed-up so what do I call it ----------- Pure or Whole Vampyre. I consider myself to be a civilised Vampyre that's why I use the term Hematophage. Well Psi is just plainly self explanatory and really doesn't need to be chopped up into many schizophrenic groups as has happened since the internet came online some 20 odd yrs ago.

I've been a psy/elemental vampire since grade school, and craved blood shortly afterwards. I didn't know what those things were until I was much older. As to being a sexual vampire... Well, I essentially think of that as just psychic feeding that comes naturally during intercourse, but it happens. After sex, I don't feel the need. If I don't have blood, this won't completely remove my thirst, but it will stop the craving on other levels.
